It is a plant that doesn't have normal roots but rely on its foliage to absorb all the necessary nutrition and moisture. It grows in long chains and hundreds of individual plants are tangled up like fairy's hair. Spanish Moss Usneoides can be grown hanging from trees or on their own and they display green fragrant flowers.

Tillandsia Fuchsii, native to Mexico and Guatemala, is a delicate air plant with tiny thread-like leaf blades. These leaves are silvery pale green; the flowers are vibrant violet when in bloom. After the plant blooms, it produces offsets and starts to form a clump. Fuchsii usually grows symmetrically to form a perfect sphere.

Tillandsia ionantha Fuego, is an easy-to-grow air plant with short waxy green leaves. When the plant is about to bloom, it changes to shades of vibrant deep red to orange and eventually displays yellow/purple/red tubular flowers. Tillandsia Streptophylla leaves have pastel green-colored, and curly, irregular shapes. The drier the conditions are, the more curly this plant will be, which is not an issue as this plant can tolerate arid conditions. When blooming, It has a lovely pink inflorescence with many bracts. It is xeric, and prefers more sun and less frequent waterings than many air plant varieties.

Formerly known as ‘Dark Red’, Tillandsia Houston ‘Red Princess’ has a deeper, much richer colored inflorescence than other forms of Houston. It is a hybrid between species Stricta and Recurvifolia, this same cross has also produced 'Cotton Candy', it is a fantastic hybrid of Tillandsia. It produces a giant pink inflorescence with lilac flowers when it blooms.

And when it blooms, the plant develops gorgeous blush, mauve and peach shades. Caput Medusae absorbs the majority of nutrients and water from the air though the scales (trichomes) on its leaves.
